In this section, limestone is fed to limestone crusher, where its size gets reduced. And then crushed limestone is stored in storage silos.The other materials Clay, Iron Ore and Bauxite is crushed if more than 20 mm and stored in respective storage yards. From Storage yard these materials fed to Raw Mill Hopper. The raw material i.e lime stone, clay and other additives are then extracted in correct proportion by Electronic Weigh feeders and fed to Ball Mill for grinding to a fineness of 90 microns with the help of our grinding solution. The raw material from storage silo is conveyed to a preheater by elevator or air lift. Preheaters generally consist of 5 or 6 stages, depending on the plant capacity and degree of calcination required.
Each stage of preheater consists of fabricated cyclones and connecting gas riser ducts. Cyclone and riser ducts are especially designed to have smoother flow and good collection efficiency with lesser pressure drop.
The calcined material from preheater is then fed to a kiln where it is further calcined and sintered. The clinker coming out of the kiln is cooled in a grate cooler and is stored in the clinker silo.
*The kiln is fired by coal/oil/gas. In case of coal, a mill for grinding the coal is also installed.
Then clinker goes to Rotary Kiln for Calcination

The clinker from clinker silo is mixed with 4-5% gypsum and then with the help of conveying system, it is fed to cement mill for grinding to powder. This powder is called Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC). Additives like Puzzolana, Fly-ash and Slag are added in different ratios as per product requirement and Government Norms to produce PPC or PSC.
